Rubik’s triamid is a triangular Rubik’s puzzle – but with some key differences. There are 10 individual pieces, four joining sections, and four colourful sides that need to be solved. One of the features that make the Rubik’s triamid a challenge for first-time users, is that about one-third of the pieces’ sides are hidden from view (they are inside of the triamid). there are many colours that aren’t important to solving the puzzle. To solve the Rubik’s triamid, solve the mystery of which pieces are corners and which pieces are edges. First, put the corners in their places and then solve the edges. Truly versatile in the moves you can make, the Rubik’s triamid can be solved from any starting position. Finding and using great products that stimulate and engage students in STEM skills is increasingly important. Problem-solving skills are some of the single most important skills identified by STEM educators. The Rubik’s triamid adds another dimension to advancing these problem-solving skills.
