Ken says “To really know a region you have to spend time absorbing its mood until you begin to relate to its mysterious and ancient rhythms”, says Ken. “I often have to return to a location again and again until I’ve captured the true spirit of the place. In that time spent waiting for the right moment, I have the opportunity to truly connect with the land. It’s amazing what you can learn about a place by just sitting in silence there. For many years, Old Sydney Town was a well-known attraction on the NSW Central Coast. Visitors could wander down the dirt streets, dodging bullock carts and drovers with sheep, and hear the Town Crier issue a proclamation. It was just like stepping back in time to our colonial past. This faithful recreation of the beginnings of our nation gave us an insight into what it would have been like to have come far across the sea and be thrust into a wild. untamed land. Our early settlers were a hardy breed, who overcame many obstacles to carve out a living and help make this great country what it is today. The remnants of Old Sydney Town still stand and some groups of nostalgic people are calling for it to be revived. Perhaps an occasional walk through is our heritage past, will help put into perspective some of the problems which come our way in modern times.”

When complete, this jigsaw puzzle measures 830mm x 310mm and is ideal for framing.
